DSG RECALL on MK7 - just received the letter

Singlespeed: I'm sure that your TDI will wear the recall badge of honour with pride! But I'm surprised that your car doesn't have a second badge for the other recall (which I assume is the mineral oil change for the dsg - i.e. recall 34F6). Have you had this done?

Edit: oops, I just noticed that you have an my14. recall 34F6 is probably not relevant for your car- sorry

You are correct, it had 34F6 done as well, but there was no badge for it. I did see it on the invoice and there was a reference to a pipe on the docket as well, but I'm not sure what that was about. The service dude dismissed most of my questions, just said each one was a software update. My dashcam ran for most of the service, I saw them hook up to the car under the hood and the disappear for a while. They didn't road test the car following the service either.


Edit: here is the list of work carried out. I only had the 45D4 completed after all. I wonder what the "pipe" reference is?

singlespeed: Hmm.......... that's real odd! When I had the 34F6 recall done on my vehicle the receipt said (and I quote)

"Carried out campaign 34F6 and placed sticker on Right Side of A pillar"

Sure enough, when I looked at the RHS "A" pillar on my car, the sticker (much the same as yours) was indeed there proudly stating that 34F6 was completed.

Are you sure that the recall was done and no sticker? Knowing first hand what pedants VW dealers are for the protocol of Head Office, I'm surprised that the sticker wasn't installed

singlespeed. Yes, I think that you are correct. Now that you have raised the matter, I recall that the TDI has a different transmission (I think). That explains everything. Appology for "taking you down the garden path" (so-to-speak)

It was campaign regarding 7 Speed DSG (DQ-200). TDI has 6 Speed DSG.
