DIY Road Rash Fix on my Rims - some help please

I have some Alloy Rims on my car - a Golf 90TSI Mk7 and I glanced the gutter and road rashed them.

So I did my best to repair them by going through the grades of wet and dry (up to 2000 grit) and then I used some metal polish (Autosol).

As you can see there are some lines which you can't feel with your finger and the contour looks reasonable from an angle.

I was hoping some of you might have some experience in what's going on here and maybe I can have some advice about what to do next... I intend to hit them with some rattle can clear coat on the repaired area to stop oxidisation but I'd like to understand why I have visible lines on the metal. One is up near the bead of the rim and one is half way down the spoke ie. between the hub and the rim.

    Before

    After

Most vag wheels are machine finished or satin it appears you have rubbed through the clear coat and a little of the base coat. If you were in canberra i could have the wheel repaired for as little as 150.00 but if you are looking for a quick cheap fix would be best to spray the wheel and re clear coat

Thanks - so you are saying it's not irredeemable.

Someone might be able to make it a little less obvious for me? I hope so.

I'd live with $150 I guess if it gets me out of jail

What does fixing it properly entail if you don't mind me asking?
