    Creaky seat?

Hey guys, just thought I'd post this to see if anyone else has encountered the same problem. I started to hear a creak upon turning right initially, and read through the posts about creaking doors/seals etc. I have gone through other forums looking for solutions and applied them as instructed...no success. It started to also creak when coming to a stop/weight change and took a stab in the dark and gave the seat a good rocking, and hey presto sound appeared. Now I have narrowed down the problem, has anyone encountered the same issue? And if so, solution/suggestions please.

It seems to be coming from the railing system. I have applied a little WD to fixing bolts, and some grease to rails, but no difference.

    Cheers.

Have you checked the mounting bolts?

I understand where you are coming from, but I would like to have a go myself before I waste a whole day leaving it at the dealer.

I noticed it and after doing some moving around, I think I narrowed it down to the seat belt rubbing making a plastic on plastic creak.
I just worked it around a bit to soften it and I haven't noticed it recently. I'll have another look at it. I'd be confident some light lubrication probably with graphite would fully sort it.

Yours may be different if you were able to move the seat and get the sound without you in it though.

    Eureka!

Went and purchased a spline bit set this morning and gave the seat frame bolts a tighten-up, and hey presto rear right one gave an enormous creak. Loosened this one off, applied some lube and re-tightened and went for a drive....no noise.
