I grew up playing Mechwarrior and watching anime and BladeRunner. So I had to have the virtual cockpit and dynamic indicators in my GTI. So I found it worth while.

Functionality wise. If you use the built in maps a lot worth it. Otherwise, I'm not sure. It's not as configurable as Audi or the new cockpit VW is showing in the new Tiggy and it doesn't change between drive modes like Fords does in the new Mustang.

If you mostly use Carplay and Android Auto, it kinda just leaves the ability to show cool graphics for driver assist as it doesn't mirror the CP or AA maps or track info.

I don't notice a difference??

One is GTI the other is R. Different shading on the speedo and tach and show difference speed increments. R shows more Blue as well.
