CarPlay compatible USB port (Mk7 MIB2 retrofit)

    Hi all,

I'm picking up the CarPlay compatible USB port (that goes into the centre console) from a car wrecker. If I were to buy this online it seems to come with a cable (harness?) that connects to the MIB. Do I need to buy this cable because I'm doing a retrofit or can I also lift the cable from the car they're wrecking? Cheers.

No you don't need the harness.
You can also buy it online without the harness.
Just need to trim one of the notches off the FARKA connector with a stanley knife.
