Actually picked up a Racechip unit a little while back, which I've been really happy with plus in Perth but thanks for the offer. All the best with pending family

So what's the consensus on best settings for map6? I thought using map6 might be better to not stress things during normal town dricing. I'm about to install mine, any advice I'm in melbourne if climate is relevant.

Lol don't think normal driving exists once a Jb1 is installed

If you have a DSG don't worry about it. Map 6 is by default low boost at low revs (for manuals) or custom tuning

I am still running on the default Map 1 with a manual gearbox. It's been in for a month now and is quite addictive!

I will be looking at Map 6 after its service in a couple of weeks.

I am running map 1 on my manual R too and straight from George Smooth himself says as long as you're not flat footing it in 5th or 6th at low revs you should be ok.

I cruise in 5th or 6th at roughly 70km but I'm barely loading up the engine.

At any rate saving up for a new updated clutch is probably advisable. I just won't want to change it within a year of getting a new car

Yeah, I stick it in 6th and tickle along. I never make it pull from there; I'll always drop it in to 4th before picking up speed (always have in my petrol cars).

A new clutch just seems to make sense at some point anyway. I don't really like the stock one and it stands out as the only weak point in the car, IMO.

If you haven't already remove the clutch delay valve. The clutch spring removal apparently helps to but I've left mine in for now.

Yeah, I've taken the assistance spring off the pedal and that really helped with a much more positive feel at the bite point.

The clutch bleeder valve removal is the one that really makes the most difference.

Ah... so how do I do that? I didn't know about that switch.

Should I ask the dealer to do it at the next service? The reason is that I've been having an argument with them about the electronic parking brake releasing before the pedal hits the biting point. It leads to either the car rolling (I have a steep driveway) or being so agricultural that you end up with clutch slip as you try to catch it.
