Can the 6C Polo GTI guys get in on this group buy? I've been looking at getting a JB1 for a few months now.

Nice job posting the pics and video. Did you try routing the cable to the passenger glove box so it's easily accessible? I read that it's possible although don't know what extra mods it might require.

Also, which "grey plastic cover" are you referring to? My cable has already a naked connector (not the usb one, the other) which seems to be going straight in (once I manage to open the JB1 enclosure). There is nothing to be removed from what I see.

During the purchase there where two options for the cable:

"With gray shell for most models"
"VW"

Are you sure you selected the VW? Although yours were sent directly from the importer so maybe they messed smt up?

I didn't know route the cable to the glove box. I might take a look at it tonight.

Yeah I think I got the non-VW cable which comes with a grey shell. If it's naked, you should be able to screw it straight on.
