I am sure the Bridgestone RE003 is a good tyre.
Depending on your tyre size, it might still be worth while looking around or at least digging a little deeper.

From personal experience I have found that if you where to ring up / call in to get "the best price / special price" (outside the "Get the 4th tyre free" promo) the price might be say; $260 per tyre ($1,040). However (once again from personal experience) when the promo is running they do not discount and only offer the RRP; lets just say $350 per tyre ($1,050)...

If you were still able to get that "best price / special price", then this promo would be great!!!

You can usually get the discount price on these and (depending on size) have a set of 4 fitted up for $600-750.

The RE003 is a reasonable performance tyre though if you’re looking to push the limits of traction you’ll probably find the limits of these tyres once they’re 50% worn.

Then you’ll be wishing you’d bought a semi-slick like AD08R or paid the extra and got a set of Michelin PS4S.

i have driven on these RE003 for a while and they are bang for your bucks for performance. to exceed their limits on public roads, you'd have to be speeding way above 2 demerit points.

i have also driven on advan ad08r and hankook rs3 on race tracks and public roads. while they do give extra grip and hold better without overheating too quick, these will not last as long as the RE003.

Agreed that $ for performance they are hard to beat especially on these 4 for 3.

I’d also comment that it depends whether you’re driving an AWD car or FWD car as you’ll notice the drop off in grip more in a tuned GTI or Scirocco than say a stock Golf R. For high performance FWD cars I’d seriously consider something with more grip.

But if you’re on a budget bang for buck these are hard to beat.

Thanks all for your comments, NOISY is not what I want. I am looking at 245/35/19 JAX showing per tyre
    - Bridgestone $213 (with the deal)
    - P Zero $385 ( like I have currently as OEM ..have lasted 33,000 ks so far)
    - Pirelli Dragonsport $255
    - Michelin PS4S $330

I think I know what everyone will recommend

I have had two sets of previous RE tyres: RE002 and the current RE003's. Bang for buck is great both wet and dry, had to work very hard to break traction, both been on AWD vehicles mind, neither have been especially noisy, but all tyres get louder as they get older due to losing tread depth. Grip on both was excellent up until last 10 000 km prob due to them getting on for 3+ years old, and they both did 50 000 km with mixed driving, no race tracks or hard Sunday stropping through the hills.
