Is that for the base model or Comfortline (the alloy wheels have me wondering)? Manual or DSG? And did you then get $1,000 off to buy at 23k?

Just exactly how much do you expect to buy the car for? I could put down that it was a Highline with (with a Polo thrown in) at that price and still have someone that question asked of me. I mean, honesty................. No, it's the base manual.............. What did you pay / expect to pay? $18,500??? Let's see your candour, now that I have lead and set the priceline................

    Hi Guys,

The best I could do was 24.5k with metallic and no extra's for the base model Golf VII.
I could have pushed for 100-200 more off that price, but got the feeling that it was the lowest that all 3 dealerships would go.
So about 12% of the Recommended Retail Price.

At the end of a long day I decided that it was a reasonable price and placed in an order.
It's lucky that I did because if you get the car delivered before the end of the month (August) you get the 5 year extended warranty on the DSG auto transmission. As of the 1st of september it will revert to the standard 3 years. I hope I don't need it

Yes, VWG are offering 1k off the price of the golf at the moment for cars delivered before the end of the month.

    Cheers...

Relax... I think you did very well. 3 years service thrown in is very nice. Your post was not clear about your car hence the question. Your deal sounded too good to be true.
I'd be happy to get the base DSG for 24k.

And so one gets tempted to move a step higher to comfortline . That looks like a very good deal too! Congratulations!
