Why they didn’t keep your car for 2weeks for an observation is really beyond me.
Here we go again.
You guys may remember that on the 19th Feb my car went back to the dealer with anecdotal evidence the the A/C was again not working properly. It was return to me with an emphatic statement that there was no leak and the vehicle was fully checked.
Well as expected and demanded by the laws of psychics, today the A/C failed again. Diagnostic code "no gas". So here was go again.

I actually don't believe they put any dye in the system when it was first taken in. I am told when dye is inserted there is always a small trace of it UV visible at the Schneider valve insertion point. There is no such trace. So now they are stuck with a leaking system with no way to find the leak without starting again and reinserting the dye.

At this point I'd be highlighting the fact that they can't diagnose the issue despite repeated attempts and asking them to pay for an independent AC specialist to inspect and diagnose the AC system under the proviso that if nothing is found you will pay. You'll need to find a good AC person first though.

There must be a few good operators up your way... The NRMA used to give recommendations but those days have gone.

I used to think I was anal-retentive until I started getting involved in car forums
have u tried taking it to a different vw service centre to the one you've been dealing with?
im sure they all differ in quality and service and if its under warranty i think you can have it repaired under warranty at any of the centres.
