Airbag Error - Resistance too low

    Hey

I have a TSI and replaced the steering wheel with a GTI one and now I get an airbag error.
Used the VCDS to check and it said 'Resistance too low' in the error and I couldn't erase it. Does anybody know what I sould do? Replace some resistance?
I put the old steering wheel back and the error is gone.

    Thanks

Sounds like two different airbag resistances. Likely a different airbag as well given the Takata recall. Can you swap airbags?

Difficult, as the new steering wheel is from the GTI and my old is from the TSI. Probably the price for a new airbag is prohibitive

Does someone else know how to get around this?

When you say get around this do you want to disable the air bag or have it fully functional with no error.

Fix the problem, having it with no error

In the weekend I'll post the vcds scan
