Air intake mod. Help needed PLZ

Hey guys looking at putting in a custom air intake for my 90 TSI golf and just wondering what this vacuum hose does on the top of the engine air box. Is it one where I can just put a breather on as my new pipe wont have a nipple for it to go on? pic below

I'd recommend this intake. 2015 VW Golf Mk7 1.4 Tsi Cold Air Intake System (VW-MK706L)

Have it on the 110TSI (will fit the 90/92TSI too) and it sounds absolutely awesome. In fact sounds better than the R with its R600 intake

And, yes, that looks like a breather pipe, put a small filter on it and let it dangle
