    Aftermarket Suspension for the Mk7

Got the car back from the workshop yesterday really happy with the results. In terms of comfort (I'm probably not the best judge as my last 3 cars have had coilovers fitted) Its a little stiffer meaning you can feel potholes & ruts in the road slightly more than stock but its really not drastically changed the overall comfort levels inside.

Eibach have done a great job of delivering a decent drop (35mm for TSI's, TDI's & 25mm for GTI's, R's as these already have a slight drop) whilst not compromising ride quality. Handling wise i can't comment too much on this as i lowered the car more for the aesthetics, its not a performance car and i don't drive it like one! Having said that it feels tighter & more poised when turning whilst reducing bodyroll (although there was not much to begin with)

Let me know what you think and i'll do my best to answer any questions. Oh and shout out to 'Elite Euros' in Perth. Great price, clean, professional and efficient. Speak to Joe he'll sort you out a good deal. (I supplied the springs direct from Eibach but he can source them in too)

I had mine lowered on Eibach springs, too! Definitely improved the handling.

Wheels look real good Jazrod. Are they GTI reps or originals..... Very nice eitherway.

Replicas, mate. Couldn't find genuines at the time haha. I bought the car in April 2013 and wanted them ASAP (wheels in June '13 and springs in July '13).

You car will settle a bit more and drop another 3mm or so - mine did. Sits so well. Loooove it.

I'm thinking of dropping mine when it arrives (Sept), also a Highline but with 18" Durbans and VW Sports suspension which I'm sure will still be too high.

I'm not looking for performance so much as reducing that SUV sized gap between the wheel and arch, getting it more concentric and balanced to the eye.

Wezza - it looks good and about where I want to drop mine to, any chance of some more pics?

I'm looking at Eibach, H&R and WVR springs, I have no idea which is better.

Was there any positives with installing through the dealership? (warranty etc..)

Springs don't affect the warranty (I checked at my local)
