Would anyone know when the ACC slows the car down, does the brake lights go on?

Hi Hillbilly, shall test it out with a friend.
Does it the light goes on when the ACC slows the vehicle down with engine braking or it doesn't know and turns on the brake light when ever the car slows down? because that would really annoy the car behind when you.

I believe the lights only come on on brake application by ACC.

You would be correct I misread what he was asking. If you just lift your foot when normal driving the brake lights dont come on so dont when on ACC. However if a car cuts in front of you and ACC has to brake THEN they come on.
Seems logical. normally I find that unless that happens it is very smooth and just stops you from driving into someone by slowing you down gradually as you get closer.
However in QLD the closest setting is not close enough for the tailgaters here. LOL

agentthumb & Hillibilly: thank you for your inputs. It make sense that the brake lights only come one when ACC applies the brake. Yes, there are alot of tailgaters here in Brisbane, I tense to ignore them and drop my speed back to the speed limit.
On a side note, are you meant to apply the brake when the car comes to a complete stop or just let ACC stops then restart the car? I've tried both. The ACC won't restart the car if i apply the brake. I guess like the normal cruise control, applying the brake will cancel it.

I let ACC come to a stop. When you are ready to go, press "res" on the steering wheel or tap the accelerator and ACC will take off.

I had the same question, So while driving at night I tested my ACC to see when the break light reflected on the rear window. I found the break light does come on but not every time the car felt to be slowing it was only on when the car was coming to a stop following a car or a steep downhill decent.
