    90 TSI vs 103TSI Motors

Does anyone know the difference between these two engines from a mechanical perspective?. Is the difference in power and torque simply due a different ECU tune?.

Has anyone seen a ECU tune for the 90TSI motor in Australia?. I notice ABT Germany has one:

VW Golf VII (5G0) 1.4 ltr. TSI from 90 kW (122 HP), 200 Nm to approx. 118 kW (160 HP), 250 Nm

This seems like a good idea, since the difference between the 90TSI Comfortline and the 103TSI Highline is just 13kW and that is ~ 5k extra.

Sure the highline opens up opportunity to get a sunroof and some xenons, but since they are hardly ever stocked then there doesn't seem to be much reason to get a highline (unless I've missed something) other than the small 13kW max power.

So if you can get a 90TSI engine to a 118kW and 250Nm for a grand or so you'd be way ahead.

50Nm (25% more) is another benefit.
