9.89 second Golf R in Puerto Rico

Hi, I'm the owner of a 2017 VW Golf R and would like to share my 1/4 mile experience with my R

went last Wednesday (3/28/19) for the local track (Salinas Speedway) for a private track rental (JOMO Rental) after 2 months of inactivity, prior to install new IMS780.
    I only did 3 passes.

    Best one 9.89sec at 134.76 mph @ 1/4 mile

    when we achieved 9.94sec

well, yes. Removed rear seats/belts, rear wiper mechanism, rear plastic cover, center console(has to be removed to be able to get in the roll bar), rear mats, wiper canister.

remember for every 100lbs you can reduce appx. 0.1 sec in the 1/4 mile!

Is there a rule, written or unwritten, where the driver needs to drive the car to certify official times? If not, you could find a lightweight guy/girl to pull the time for you could potentially save 100lbs there (no offence) and shave another 0.1sec off.

But of course you wouldn't get the thrill of doing it yourself…

    New upgrades

front mount intercooler was finally installed together with IMS 780. Will remove the CTS intercooler to save some weight.
also new fuel injector for more CC's will be installed.

I will be participating at American vs European Battle Fest on May 5, 2019.
my shop EuroHouse will support 3-4 additional cars( Audi TTRS, RS3 ) all of them with turbo upgrades

    will keep you posted!
