Interesting that they're making the launch edition available in a 3-door. Seeing as they're being discontinued in the US and haven't been offered here for a while now.
That trim though

This is probably everything i wanted in the new GTI...
3-doors, Brescia wheels, active info display and the new LED rear tail lights...
There's no way in hell it will be under 50 grand...
All these GTIs are so closely priced. With options etc so many will over lap. This 3 GTI will definitely be in the $50k figure. Probably $46 retail then OR costs. Probably only option will be sunroof to.
Weren't the rims called ruby?

I know its all speculation regarding costs atm but I'm thinking otherwise. Currently a pre-facelift retails for around 49k with some special on where you get 2k worth of extras for free.
From what i can see, when the new GTI arrives it will not come standard with active info display, 19 inch wheels or the new led tail lights which have the dynamic turn signals. Nor will it have the extra power upgrade or larger brakes.
Assuming when the facelift stock GTI arrives, it will be somewhat close to the current pre-facelift stock GTI. Adding these extras on will surely cost at least 5k more.
Would these "promotional" GTIs offer more extras for a lower price?
No traffic jam assist - no deal.
