2013 Golf TDI throwing random codes

I'm having issues with my partners golf, started last Wednesday when she had the tyre pressure monitor system failure come up on the dash, followed by ABS, hill hold, ESC and Auto stop start warnings coming up.

I took it in to get the battery checked thinking it was the issue especially with the auto stop start warning, but the battery tested fine ( 726CCA and 12.7v) only strange issue is they couldn't test the battery with the negative lead on it. They even put a brand new one in to see if that would help, and it didn't.

I got a second opinion from another place and they had the same results.

Only thing is after they checked it, I left there and all the warnings that came up stared to go off, apart from the auto stop start, but after restarting the car. That went off too.

I've driven it around most of the morning testing it out, no warning lights up, but I used the auto stop start once. And ever since it doesn't seem to be working, and its not showing a warning for it on the dash or the vehicle data (kinda glad because I hate it).

If anyone has any ideas, it would be greatly appreciated

Those are classic symptoms of a failing wheel speed sensor. Try and see if there is someone local to you who can scan the car for fault codes.

If an electrical connection to a wheel sensor has come adrift it gives the same errors. Sometimes a connector gets dislodged by a sharp bump/pothole. If so it is a cheap, easy fix, so worth checking anyway (look in wheel arches)

hmm........with no offense intended and notwithstanding some very good suggestions in previous replies - we are ALL playing a guessing game based on inadequate information, intuition and a desire to help!

MQB platform cars are complex and diagnosing problems is a tricky thing at the best of times. However, when the under-pinning information about the fault is missing- the process of fault finding relies on sheer-luck (again, no offense)

My suggestion, if you are serious about finding this problem as a DIY exercise - get the diagnostic information that is currently residing in the modules! There WILL be valuable information stored in these modules that relate specifically to each of the items listed in the screenshot that you posted previously! Without access to this data, lady-luck is your only hope (lady-luck ain't a good way of fault-finding - she WILL disappoint!)

As MIG suggests - make the effort to find a forum member who lives close and who is prepared to SCAN this car. The SCAN report WILL pay dividends!!

PS: of course the alternative approach to solve this problem is to throw money at a service-agent - guess what the service agent will do (and yes, will charge you a fee) as the first part of the repair process?
