Hi All,
I've got a Mk VII 110 TDI MY15 with 17" wheels currently. I have to drive over some pretty bad roads to work each day and want to have an everyday set of wheels with some fatter sidewalls. Looking at 15" wheels and 195/65r15 tyres.
Can't seem to find a solid answer and there is some conjecture whether TDIs have bigger brakes or not. But do 15" wheels fit on a 110 TDI?
What is the minimum size?
Any help appreciated.
Looks like you can only downsize to 15" - 195/65 R15 on 6.0Jx15 wheels as your brakes maybe front 288mm and rear 272mm, same as the TSI models. For reference the GTI models with larger brakes have the same wheel limitations.
Vertical Measurement wheel centre to top of wheel arch opening at full bump - front 291mm and rear 253mm is what room you have to play with.
