    That initial jerkiness in the Comfortline is not because of the DSG. Turn off Auto Hold you’ll see its no longer jerky.

    Re your second issue, All VW cars have the turbo lag (less in the sports mode) regardless it’s a TSI, GTI or R.

    It's not turbo lag, it's throttle mapping. As the pedal box in my 1.4 Trendline proved. If it was turbo lag, the pedal box would not have made such a difference to the response.

    The turbos in these are tiny and spoil up almost instantly. You only get turbo lag with larger turbos where they only start building boost at higher rpm

    Throttle lag and boost threshold are not the same thing at all.

    I should probably start my own thread. Looks like VW f(&Kwittery is starting. I started it as I came back to a car park, it stumbled a bit. Then I was met with start/stop system error. Then I noticed EPC light flashing but no noticable pinging plodding a further 2km home. 2 days later the misfires were so bad we just called VW roadside assist. After 2 weeks, it's still not fixed and remains at the service centre. I suspect they did the coil/plug/injector dance.
    Now here's the BS. Apparently it has low comp on a cylinder. Tech/head office apparently said it could be caused by bad fuel - LOL. I would understand if "low comp" was a stored code but the service centre assures me the compression reading was done with a gauge down the spark plug hole. WTF.
    If it has low comp. "Good" fuel isn't going to do anything.

    And this is why, I don't like buying new cars. You're stuck with such incompetence in the entire supply chain.
