I agree. I recently purchased a Aug '13 compliance Highline 103TSi with sunroof, leather with no kays for $35000 drive away. The receipt supposedly stated the discount was $6200, either way I was happy with the price (definitely saved at least 4-5k on it) for a new car with no kays and full 3 year warranty.
The problem with a that vehicle is that you're essentially buying a second hand vehicle with probably only 2 years of warranty is left, you should be able to command a much better price. One of the guys on the another forums was looking at trading in his 110TDi Highline with Driver Assist, he purchased it for $36000, put on 8k kays and was offered $25600 for a trade in when looking at a GTi.
The current Highline Volksfest promotions going until late Feb/March have the best savings, definitely better than the ones provided by corporate plus discounts which only save about 4k at most.
