Also, I assume u only tune euro marques and not Japanese brands. I have a hilux 3.0d sr5 that would love a tune to improve economy. Test mule?

We do have a TDI-Box unit which holds 10 pre-set digital mapping files and can get good results, but it's never going to be as good as a true remap. That's a shame cos there r literally thousands of the hilux engines out there and most of them r pretty average. Standard reflash type.

For sure. We're working on it... But nothing in the very near future. We do loads of the other JDM diesels but toyota is the missing link - and we get a hell of a lot of enquiries on them from all over Aus'...Quote:

As Simon will tell you though through personal experience, the toyota diesel motor, especially the 3L turbo diesel, is a time bomb when it comes to tuning. It's a very comlex engine to get safe an useable power out of, which is why those companies you have mentioned just over-fuel the engine and wind up the boost to compensate. One hilux both Simon and I know of is on it's 3rd set of injectors in 10,000kms after being "tuned". At ~$250 per injector, ontop of the cost of the tune and associated fuel costs..... Just buy a d40 navara 550 if power is required, or wait for the Petrol amarok with the 2litre turbo motor:)
That sucks, my brothers hilux has just clocked up 13k from new and it's been great. A little slow, but I guess it's a ute. Ill watch this space
