It's a great result to show what you can achieve without spending the earth. Well done, guys.

...... Or 20% faster. The first few seconds and tenths in motorsport are cheap. The last few hundredths are what cost the money.

...and that's why in the real world 95% of people stop at stage 2.

Unless you're going to put it on the track or down a drag strip the last few tenths are just not worth it.

Not taking anything away from the APR car - getting a Golf to do 0-100 in the 3's and 0-400m in the 11's is heading into supercar territory. And if you look at it another way $100k is a cheap supercar.

You dont need to spend alot to run low 3s to 100 and 11s on the 1/4 in a Golf R . You just have to know what to do and how to do it . I spent about $6k on mine and Ive run an 11.88 with a 0-100 in 3.31 sec

I'd agree with those comments based on the guys (and girls) I know that have tuned their Golfs although most stopped at Stage 1.

Still a great daily driver but without the drawbacks of a factory tune

Viezu has shown its easily achievable for owners and they seem to cover most options now and regions

With the Viezu discounts on offer for hardware if you have a Viezu tune, just makes it more compelling

Don't worry. I'm in the same boat.

On the plus side, we have a gearbox that doesn't continually fail
