    Turbo Intake Pipe

Hey all. im fairly new here.
I have recently acquired my "new" 2002 S3 225BHP with BAM with ESP. The person i bought it off gave me a great deal because the hoses need changing but everything else is great.

My first question is, the the hose that connects to the TIP from the PVC has blown off and broken. Is this somthing that i should replace? Will this affect my performance or life of the car? To fix this i will need a new intake. If a new TIP is something i need, The OEM one will cost me around $700 which is way out of my budget. Thus i was looking at the Badger5 V2.2.
IS there anyone here selling a second hand Badger5 80mm TIP that is in relatively good nic?

Thanks guys. I hope this makes sense.

Going to be tough finding a secondhand one in Australia.

Post a picture of the tip and the damaged pipework. You don't want it to be able to ingest un-metered air. I'd say go to ebay and buy a new tip off Bill direct.

The Red tape at the top is the hose from the PCV and the hole is obviosuly in the intake. I avoid driving it for that reason.

Block the hole in the TIP and let the PCV vent for the time being. Potentially lose some boost until it's fixed properly.

Is there not enough left on the TIP to repair it?

You could look at other silicon TIPs too although if you have to buy one, a Badger5 is not much extra.

If you're willing to pay shipping, it's the exact same process. Walk into post office, say I want to ship this to Australia, pay a bit more and fill in a customs sticker.

I know he ships out of the UK, because that other TIP you were chasing is here.

Also I see that you can buy from AwesomeGTI store. They will ship international.

I've got a badger 5 TIP on mine

Same thing happened to my car the tip and pcv disintegrated.

Had a chat with bill first then bought off eBay. No trouble shipping to australia! I recall it was around the $500 mark. Also while I was there I replaced the pcv with forge silicone hoses. And they work really well.

There are also some cheap silicone stuff on eBay but in my opinion you should avoid them. There are lots of people running big power on the badger 5. It's a good kit plus the intake sound is mint.
