should i get a 1.8T A3??

gday all, ive been lookin for a new car, and im pretty keen on the A3...
I was planing to get another vw golf VR6, but the more i look at the A3 (2door), the more i want one...
do they go much harder than the VR6?

its pretty much a Mk4 golf GTI, right?

And advice guys?

Exactly the same engine as GTI Mk4. A3 has more alloy in construction, so is lighter and 2 door

Nicer to drive than a VR6 and more modern technology.

DO IT
you will not be dissapointed with an a3, such a nicer more nimble feeling car than its obese cousin the mk4, the fit and finish is that little bit nicer. All the tuning option are the same as a mk4 , so readily available and abundant , and even cheap.

really love my car, cant speak highly enough of it.

I also vote A3! Mostly because we didn't get them here in the states so I'm a bit jealous. But secondly because they are way more fun to work on than the Mk IV since, as stated above, they have a bit nicer fit and finish that the VW cousin.

The A3 will have a higher spec,

you can compare spec, pricing etc in redbook

so before you commit, compare the two back to back and see how they compare
