adding a turbo to a car is always going to cost different amounds depending on what work you can do yourself.
If you need to hand it to someone and expect to get a nice reliable car back. Id think you would be looking at the wrong side of 10k
But then.. i have no real idea!? Im sure itd be quick tho!

Not worth the trouble, the 2.6 isn't anything special and because all the focus is on the 1.8t you will have zero aftermarket support for a turbo v6. Means everything has to be custom.

V6s are quite difficult to turbocharge because of the twin cylinder banks (Generally why most people go twins, one turbo per bank). Only other option would be to find a written off S4 or RS4 and do a complete engine swap. But even then it would probably be cheaper to sell your A4 and buy an S4 to begin with.

The ONLY thing that would make it a pheasable (sp?) option is if the 2.7TT from the S4/RS4 is a similar design to your 2.6. Which I doubt.

I know a guy who turbo'd a new corolla he was quoted well over 10G without computer upgrade which he was told he would need, he did it himself for less then 7G even with a heap of custom/one off stuff being made and with a wolf3d computer.
I do not know alot about euro cars yet but I was thinking the same thing about my 100 once I get the gear box sorted out.
I have done a fair bit of custom work for hilux's,corollas and commodores in the past and I found the cheapest way to do something you self is to let on to nobody what you are really doing. For example I wanted a custom made turbo manifold for the Hilux (because the mass produced unit caused loss of boost from heat) and the guy at the shop kept telling me that what I wanted would not work so he would not make it any ways I did a drawing for what i wanted took it to another guy and said make me this. He kept asking me what it was for and I kept telling him crap, He even tried to tell me it would not work anyway when he finished making the manifold it cost half me less then the mass produced unit and it worked better then AI thought. I know its a little bit of a ramble on but I have gotten alot done by not telling people what I was doing.
