New to watercooled... with an audi

Hey guys thought it was about time I joined. Some of you may know me from OzAudi but for those of you that don't...
I had a K04'd B5 A4 up until april when I sadly crashed it into a tree on an ozaudi drive day and it was a write off - it will be missed.

Since then I have got myself a 90Q which I love also - so full of character and really nice to drive.
The 90 is however alot slower in a straight line then what I am used to so I have now begun to do a turbo conversion.
Its all going ok, got an engine from Seb a few weeks ago which I have now stripped down and will soon rebuild and start bunging up some manifolds and eventually conecting up everything else. I'm hoping to have it all running in about six months.

I'll hopefully get a Tdi golf when I finished turning converting the 90 so I guess one day I may talk about VW, but until then I'm loving the four rings.

    Thanks for the welcome guys.
Don't have alot of pics at the moment but here are a few of the motor I will be using the bottom end of.

I'm only using the bottom end of this engine, accompanied with the head off my current engine.

The 5 cylinder engine in my car ATM is a 20V 7A with a CR of 10.3:1. This being far too high, I have researched that if I use this head with a 10V NG bottom end, it will directly bolt on with no necessary machining of the pistons required, and leave me with a CR of 8.7:1.
It was just by chance that Seb had a NG engine sitting around with around 50K on it. So now I am in the process of stripping down the engine and will soon replace all bearings ect.
Ideally I would like to find a second 20V 7A head to use so I don't need to have the car off the road for as long, but we'll see how that one goes.

As for the later details, I'm now leaning towards going Haltech E11 stand alone, but still considering a 034 motorsport. For manifolds, I'm thinking something off a URs4 would work. Turbo I was going a GT3071 - 76, but seings how I'm sticking with stock internals, now I'm considering one of these

Aparently the stock internals with this combination of engines is good for around 400hp sustained. These plans are until I can get the suspenion and brakes track ready, then I will possibly pull it all apart again and rebuild with forged internals, strip it all down and put a cage in it.

Nearly forgot, here is what it's going into. Sorry for the crappy camera phone pics, I'll take some better this coming weekend.

    What else am I forgeting?

NG is a strong motor. MB was similar and this was in the UR at one stage before they installed the MIGHTY RR engine ( Me owned one!!!!!!!!) Anyway will be following your upgrade with interest mate. I liked those 90s man i reckon they still look great.

Ah so I see you may be one for me to pester for any 5 cylinder wisdom.

While I'm at it, I'm chasing a few parts idf anyone has any leads or ideas where to look. VR6 throttle body, any 5cylinder turbo maniflods, and more importantly a 7A head. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
