I didn't see any picture of the Mahle pistons. Are you using the Powerpack 4032 alloy that comes with the slipper skirts?

If yes, you will very likely have clearance issues with the oil squirters.

You sourced your stuff through INA? Just wondering how much did you pay for the Mahle powerpack pistons?

Think it was like $600, probably ly didn't need the pistons but I forgot the a3 already has forged ones I guess gives a bit more low down power and of I wanna go big turbo route later on

Unsure with yours but I gather AEB engines are supplied with mahle 4032 forged pistons from factory, the difference with the powerpack kit would be slipper skirt design and grafal coated.

Im waiting for a reply from a source I got from US. Someone I know told me he bought a set for $380 for the powerpack kit from that source.

Btw, get your crank pulley modded with a dowel pin. Its a good insurance just in case the key way breaks. I got a friend who had a K04 who sheared his crank keyway. Expensive bill.

Cheers for the advice, the mechanic is familiar with the agu engines and his gonna replace everything which may be prone to failure, what are you building a b5 a4?

Yes. I already have a BT setup but running on low boost until I can work out which clutch that will hold and not give problems. Also not happy with the compression test I conducted before installing the turbo kit hence why I asked about the Mahle powerpack kit. Ive got pretty much all the fuelling part sorted ie 630cc injectors, 044pump, adjustable reg, Maestro 7 tuning suite.

You could have seen some of my pictures on ozaudi(nick is revhead over there). Here's some pic of my setup :-

ICM delete mod with MK5 golf GTi coilpacks

    Finished

Here's a pic taken when I had the front end in service mode :-

Set up looks good wish I could go for a big turbo, I'll see how mine handles the f23

The Mahle are real light compared to my mates je, but je are well known for quality pistons
