    Name that car!

I was sat in traffic today and spotted an early to mid eighties Audi with a For Sale sticker on it. Only trouble is i don't know what model it was and it would be worth the $5000 they were asking.

The car was a 4 door sedan with just an Audi GLE badge on one side and a 5+5 badge in red on the other. I'm guessing it was a 100 but i can't be sure

    Can anyone identify this car?

Sounds like it would be a circa 1983/4 Audi 5+5 (predates 80/90/100 designation) which is essentially the same as a VW Passat of the day with 5 cyl (probably 2.2L) engine.
$5000 might be a little steep unless it is in exceptional condition.

Thats the one. It was a nice car and from what i saw of it it was in very good condition. The 5+5 isn't rare then.

Don't think its worth per chasing at that money then.

    Cheers for your help fellas.

Doesn't have quite enough overhang at either end. Need at least the wheelbase length sticking out there.
