Nice colour, I went scooba blue with the same wheels... Don't forget to get an APR tune for it![]()
The tune isn't a massive change power-wise, like it was in my old polo gti which totally transformed the car - but it does make the A1 a lot more drivable around town with the extra 45nm or so of torque across most of the rev range. Overtaking is also much easier in 6th gear without having to change down to 5th.
In summary, I think it was worth it but just don't expect the car to be pushing you right back in the seat afterwards![]()
No need to pay $1,200.....in fact, i believe APR dont actually have a tune for the 1.4T 90TSI. In this case, take a look at DNA Tuning. They offer a 20kw/50nm upgrade for your engine.

Thanks for the info Lucas, probably going to leave it stock![]()
^ not a worry - and probably a good idea to hold off on any modifications for several months just incase you have any engine/transmission issues up front.....although i couldnt help myself with my car, which only remained stock for about 14 hours.![]()
APR do because I have one on my 90TSI
You only see an extra 20kw or so as the turbo is small and no longer efficient much past this power level, no matter which company you go for... Guy normally looks after VWW members and the availability to change tunes with the cruise control stalk was worth the extra few $$ to me, plus the local support if you have a problem. I have tried others and would go with APR again any time (and hence did...)
If you want a drive anytime, just PM me and we can sort something out![]()
Thought APR didThanks for the offer Spec will have to catch up at a euro meet one night
