Lowering oil filler cap on BWA

Is it possible to lower oil filler cap ie remove filler neck once engine cover has been removed or does it have too stay at factory hieght sitting up there like Jacky?????

I think it does come off, but you have to remove the cam cover to do it. Make sure you take off the spiggots that locate the engine cover too, to complete the look.
