Fuel level sending unit

My S3 8P's fuel gauge is staying on empty and showing zero lkms to empty.
Im thinking its this part but Ecstuning are wanting $88 to deliver.
Has anyone had this problem and where can i get it cheaper.

Have you looked in the tank to see what's wrong with yours? Might just have stuck at the bottom?

Yeh we had a look to see if anything was broken(not that we new what we were looking for) and everything seemed ok, put it back together and it worked for the first 2 days and then stopped working again
Also when u fill the tank the gauge works till it gets to about half full and then stays at zero.
