Ahh very very nice Jmac! Refreshing to see handy work like that.

Not just the old mexican style bash holes in the panel to give the bog something to hold onto and fill 'er up!

Thats right Preeny Cheers mate most of the cheese will be on the floor!!!!! Funny in the process found a 5c piece size dent had been bogged and was very accessible would have been an easy fix. Yeah the fixers are a dying breed and the fitters are up and coming, sad really, yeah happy with this result and good feeling knowing there is next to no filler!!
    Cheers

Ok i have the fix for the ole girl, i am cutting out or holesawing the 17mm with a 22mm holesaw. Ok this takes out the 17mm captive nut and leaves some gap around where it should be. A nut is going to be burned into the chassis again thus making it captive again filling the remainder with Mig. this will be so much stronger and better than cutting holes on the side of the rail, will actually be stronger than the existing oposite side. i will take progress piccies when it happens. New complete driveshaft ordered from GAP, great service there, emailed me to make sure the correct dimensions, and there is a few different sizes. Being with Audi this long im impressed, most wouldnt ask and just take a gamble.
    Cheers

New Driveshaft arrived from GAP and was spot on. Stuck it on so i could actually move the beast. It has sat around for a couple of months now, but is now closer to the shed and will be getting its new axle installed in the coming weeks. Great to see it moving, wife has her carport back
Next move is to burn in that new captive nut, there will be piccies as its a cracker of a fix if done right.
