Does the Audi B5 A4 (1996-2001) Steering Cowl fit an Audi 8L A3 (1996-2001)

really hoping someone can answer this for me please. and i mean an exact fit, not trim here, fix an additional screw there etc.

if the A4 and A3 are not the same does anyone know if the golf mk4 might have the same steering cowl.

pretty sure mk4 is - i got a steering column gauge pod (for mk4) and it fit my a3 perfectly
