    dieselgeek

I bought myself a dieselgeek shortshifter direct from dieselgeek in the US. cost was $130 including 5 day postage to Perth.

got it installed today at Quattro Motors (yes, I'm lazy and only good at pulling things to bits, but not quite so good at putting them back together again). installation time was 1 hour.

shift quality is about 30% smaller, still smooth and easy, not notchy.. feels much faster, I suspect ive knocked nearly 0.3secs from my 0-100 time.

i'd like it a bit smaller again. Anyone know if these things adjustable to an even shorter throw?

i'm also thinking of having my gear lever cut a bit shorter too

edit: sorry, mybad - cost was $266 including postage - oops

i used to have an Escort RS2000, had a great little gearbox in it.

Could change gears without even using the clutch.

They also came standard with a supurb short shifter int hem. I could change from 1st to 2nd without even lifting my foot off the accelerator pedal

Snap - the shift in mine was like an electric switch. When the missus would drive - coz I was p***ed I used to watch and marvel at how short the throws were.
