    Clutch help!

Upon buying the car i could tell the clutch was quite worn, was relatively soft/spongey etc but nothing too bad, just recently the clutch is now playing up to the extent that I have to push it all the way in, and then after releasing it only 2-3 inches it bites and is fully engaged. The eentire clutch (minus the last little bit) is all slack when pushing on the pedal and also when changing in to reverse, there is a crunch almost as if the clutch has not been fully disengaged. If someone could point me in the right direction would be great, if this could be adjusted so the engage point was higher up in the clutch would be great , saving now for a new clutch but hoping it isn't a trams/gbox issue...?

    Thanks guys.

    There's no adjustment mate.

Keep saving for the clutch and if it gets worse be prepared to buy the clutch fork inside the bellhousing. This collapsed on my A3 a few years back which gave me a really low pedal and made a horrible noise as the fork was catching on the edge of the cover.

I pulled my gearbox off to investigate and didn't notice the failing fork. I then fitted it all back with the same issue as I couldn't find anything else wrong. Doh!
