So some more work on the S3 today.

Bought a new fuel pump off ebay, the original has a good few miles on it.

More work required on the S3, getting no boost after a pssshttttt noise on the main straight at Happy (maybe not so now) laps this morning. I can drive it up to 0 psi on the boost gauge, any more and it falls over. MAF code for intermittent high airflow?

Couldn't find anything massive at the track and thankfully I only have 10 minutes to drive home.

Updates to todays dramas, it is still broken.

    Google failed me completely

Ross-tech wiki no better either. double

Swapped MAF from the Polo, nil fix. Drove in to work in the Polo so the Audi MAF is definitely good.

Stripped the plug at the MAF, no signs of broken wires or dodgy crimps. Buzzed the wires from the MAf to the ECU no problems there.

So at the moment, it will sit there ticking over nicely after clearing the fault codes. As soon as you rev it up, it drops below 800 revs and then struggles to maintain an even tickover, the fault comes back at the time. I am thinking that it isn't a MAF fault at all and it is a reflection of something else that is duff.

    Keep watching this space.

Sorted, after ignoring the obvious and going straight to the complicated yesterday... A sleep on it and found in 2 minutes this morning.

I was looking for popped off hoses and loose clamps. Not f ing great holes in silicon pipes!! Not been on the car too long this pipe, I think I did it with the intercooler.

So I have re-fitted the Audi one. For once I am glad to be a hoarder.
