Going to look at an Audi A3 1.8t 2002 tomorrow.
Any special things that I should look for?
High KM's and low price.
Thanks,

check out the usual oil leaks from the top looking into the engine bay and the bottom where the oil sump is
visually inspect the turbo area for oil too
check all electrics work, windows wind properly, check for rust, bubbled paintwork
ideally you wanna start the car up cold to see if there's any trouble with the fuel pump. otherwise check for steady idle (if it's not steady it could mean a vacuum air leak). listen out for any other sucking noises on idle and check there are no rattling noises.
check the oil and under the oil filler cap - you just want it to be oily looking, no froth
driving the car should feel the turbo kicking in, no hesitation or power that seems like it's being held back. that may mean coil packs / spark plugs need replacing. listen out for any knocks or clunks when turning, braking, over bumps.
good luck hope it turns out to be the car you are looking for!
And a good service history using good oil if you have access to the invoices. Crap oil loves to cook in those things.

none of the issues that you outlined so was purchased. Gear selection issue though and have put down to slave cylinder or clutch but for the price it's worth it.
Thanks for all your help.
