thanks to woorlord on audi sport net i managed to get the rnse to switch between ipod and reverse camera when reverse gear is engaged...
i started out with these bits...
and even with basic knowledge it wasn’t too hard to rig this up (the black tape was to remind me that it was the camera, or may be the ipod, i’m not sure)...
i then carefully removed the reverse light pin and connected a wire to run through to the relay and c2 pin on the back of the rnse...
wire in place and taped back up, i reckon you'd never know it has been added...
the end result is this video, but i still can’t get it to auto flick to the tv on the rnse, damn it...

WowA good job mate!
just ordered some interior bling, i said i wasn’t going overboard this time and will try and make this my last interior modification. it should be quiet a nice place to be once all this lot is fitted...
the s3 switch is to turn on/off the wmi and i’ll mount the wmi status light behind the audi rings cover. last thing i need to work out is where i mount the boost controller and wmi gauge (if i need both or either). then my interior is complete, apart from maybe fixing my alpine 425i and maybe anything else i come up with in the mean time...
while scratching around on the net for a billet oil dipstick and i came across this obd splitter cable (not sure how). one thing that had been annoying me about my p3 gauge is that i have to unplug it every time i need to connect the vcds. now i dont...
its the little things that make me happy, yes i know i'm strange...

more parts ordered...
just paid for these on fleabay...
advert said brand new with possible paint chips...
if they look like this i'll be happy...
i was going to buy used but glad i went for new as there are no salted roads in oz so they should stay in good condition for a while longer...
they include the pads too, now all i need is some 370mm discs. should fill the wheels nicely...
i can remember way back when i had a car with wheels the size of 370mm discs...
