    Audi Master cylinder

    Hey guys

I have a Audi master cylinder installed on my Golf Mark 1. I have seen the Audi service book and thats how i know it is from Audi as the first few numbers match.
    Numbers: 8936 121 05 B
It also says 20mm on the side, (if that helps)

Just curious if anyone knows from what particular Audi that is, i think it could be from a 84 upwards. If anyone has a corresponding Master cylinder for sale, or perhaps a place that i can buy one from in Melb.

    Cheers-George

Well I can't tell you what that is from, but we can get you a Mk I master cylinder still - click here for a new master cylinder. It looks incredibly similar. Any reason you are running an Audi master cylinder?

That part number is on the servo/booster not the master cylinder. The master cylinder has the brake pipes coming out of it. If you need a new master cylinder, the one off a late mk2 GTI will go on. Just get it out of the box before handing over the money to make sure it has 4 ports like yours. Aftermarket ones usually do and they supply blanking plugs, in case you only need 2 outlets.

There is no specific reason why i am running an Audi brake booster/master cylinder, i just bought the car with it like that.
My booster is fine, it holds pressure, its the M/C thats finished.

Thanks for the offer Matt, however ill have a look at my local VW as its just easier for me, but if not i'll let you know mate,
    Thanks for that guys. George.
