i bought these to replace my switch blanks...

    and do this...

a bit sad as they don't work but i don't like switch blanks; also ordered this for a bit more interior redness,

and few oem parts to tidy things up. once these are all fitted i really need to get back to performance mods! diagnostic port cover, screw covers, rear brake dust seal rebuild kit and fuel pump gasket (noticed original was split slightly when i changed the in tank pump)...

Those battery chargers don't spit out a very nice voltage for powering things (i think is a half wave rectified AC signal only, and only suitable for battery charging). Try using a12v dc plug pack or simply a cigarette lighter plug adapter or fuse tap or whateverto test in the car...the worst thing to try is a brewery charger like that.

contrary to my better judgement i have decided to buy one more gauge to complete the podi stepper motor set. i've ordered an oil temp gauge and convinced myself its in the name of science. i will fit the gauge prior to installing an oil cooler, i can then compare the before and after temps to publish the difference... if any.

i also ordered a hand made steering wheel cowl with a single centre gauge pod, hopefully should sit just between the rev and speedo gauge. this will house the boost gauge for easy viewing while the AFR, oil pressure and oil temp will sit in the centre vent location.

the cowl will be something like this but single centred...

a centred gauge pod should be good viewing for the boost gauge...

pleased to note i've received a few bits in the post this last week that i can get to work fitting when i get home. the W8 map light harness has showed up and my wheels are ready for collection too. watch this space...
