I'm running a vi-pec v88 in my 5 cylinder Audi, I installed it myself without any real complication and it'd going great. I think I've probably used a bit over half the inputs and outputs so still plenty of room for expansion such as anti lag.
I also got it running enough to drive it myself and I've never done anything like this before so yes, it's got very user friendly interface.
Mine cost about $2500 with a 5 bar MAP sensor and a few other sensors back in about August. Full tune including cold start is about $800 -$1100 depending on where you go.
From memory Autronic won't and can't give you any instructions or anything which means it's basically impossible to install it yourself.
Link is pretty much the same as vi-pec (may be a few firmware upgrades behind) but it doesn't have the after sales support that vi-pec has. But yes they are very, very similar I found all this out after I bought my vi-pec.
I'll let you know how the final tune goes when I don't have wrist pins sliding out making grooves up my bores
