Thanks for the quick reply, yeah I saw that too, was hoping that there was somewhere in Australia that sold them.
Doubt it - unless you want to order through Audi themselves (via your local dealership) or possible VAGParts in Sydney....but very likely that they will have to get it in from Europe anyway. May as well get rid of the middle-man and just order it directly.

I guess I have to bite the bullet, order and wait 4-6 weeks for delivery. Hopefully it'll resolve the issue once its installed.

Hopefully it does. Worst case it doesnt but its only $160 and at least you have ruled that out as the issue.

Hey @Daniel_M, Ive come across your thread as I was trying to search for peoples personal experience with a Stage 1 tune with the EGR/Adblue/DPF delete. It looks like its been a good few years since you've done it - how is it all going now? Any regrets regarding deleting the dpf etc?

The reason behind me asking is, Im currently going through what you and Lucas R went through with a blocked DPF (i also do many short trips (most under 10mins)), and I want to prevent it from happening again. As it is the family car, i didnt really want to delete the dpf due to extra odour, soot and smokiness.. so im still on the fence about going down that route.

Hello mate. Been a long time since I have been on here... some more bits have gone on the car, will have to update the forum at some point..

To your question: absolutely zero regret/negatives to the items you mention. If I split it into two:

    (1) the tune - very happy... car is sharper, and pulls hard. I already enjoyed driving it, now just more so. Fuel consumption is about the same. Really no downside to this as you can still drive it 'softly' and it can still act as a great family hauler. It just has more of an edge to it, if you feel like pushing it. I like the guys at Underground Performance, if you are in Melbourne, they were good to deal with.

    (2) emissions stuff removal - no noticable downside. I mentioned the smell if you are parked with bum to a wall and leave the car sitting there idling for a bit - yes, you will smell it. How often does this happen.. pretty rarely. Not terrible, but it's there, in that rare circumstance. All other scenarios you would never know the difference. Zero smoke from exhaust. Great not having the trips to the mechanic with stuff blocking up! If removing DPF, just remind them to recode so the adblue stops getting added to exhaust - lesson learned there. Removing the DPF seemed to ruin my exhaust speakers. Not an issue as the car is loud enough minus the DPF. Seems like Lucas might have a solve for this if it is important to you, but I havent't found the need.

My car is now up to ~155k on the odometer, still great.

Might look at the intercooler idea after catching up on Lucas' thread!
