Congrats. What colour did you go for?
Estoril Blue looks nice but for me it's a bit of a mismatch with the colour of the wheels and front grille. Misano Red or Monsoon Grey seem to work well.
Not sure how this is possible unless it's ex gst, stamp duty etc..
Base price on the car from a dealership is 53k (sportback) and 55k (sedan) before adding in metallic paint or crystal paint, dealer delivery, rego and stamp duty.
The reason I know this is my brother in law works for audi. Also audi have said that there will be minimal discounting, if at all on any of the pre-built cars that are arriving on the shores this month.
If you want discounts, order one and wait as you will get a better deal. The next build start time is week 6 with a completion date of week 16. So only a couple of weeks to get an order in or you'll be waiting till September for the next batch of completed cars.
Anyway here's my story about the S3 saloon.
Back in March 2011 Audi released the A3/S3 sedan concept at the Geneva motor show
When I saw it I said to my wife that it would be our next car after the Scirocco. Well due to circumstances change (us having a kid in June) we needed a second car.
Lucky for us the A3/S3 is being released in Australia in January this year and it looks almost identical to the concept vehicle!
So we went down to check out the sportback version but we were pretty much settled on a sedan.
Placed an order for an S3 saloon with S Performance pack. It's getting built in week 6 with delivery around between week 16-20. Haven't driven one yet, plan to do that once our bro in law has one in his dealership.
I got mine for just under 70k (heavily discounted).
Now to find a novated lease company that has good interest rates!

We checked out an estoril blue yesterday and it looked ok, but didn't grab us. The colour looks like it will date as well (IMO).
Gets dirty way to easy too!
We went with gray as we haven't had a gray car yet.
That blue looks amazing.... Making me wonder if I should have picked something other than red
MY14 Audi S3 - Misano Red, S-tronic, Performance pack with parade red trim.
I think that blue is an R8 colour.
Audi excluding adds about 5k to your price tag. I would love to have had a solar orange s3 saloon, but it's a novated car that I will move along in a few years.

Yes, I think it was previously offered on the S3, but now only available on the R8, from what others were saying, it's Sepang Blue. And yes, there is a premium if you select a colour outside the standard ones, my dealer said it will probably cost approx $2k to the price tag. $2k I would accept, but if it's closer to $5k (price is based on if it's an Audi colour or one they have to match) looks like it will be one of the standard colour.
Good choice
