Im not too worried about the oil consumption but would like to catch as much as possible before it goes through the engine. Engine should be fully bedded, now has 10,000kms on it.

Was going to plumb it back in, the 42DD cans have the guase type filter to catch more oil etc than an empty can would so I figured it would minimize what is entering the intake.

Does the Forge Charge Pipe make a big difference?
Forge pipe doesn't have the silencer, otherwise it's just the same. Comes in polished alloy, mainly bling.

I would expect the oil consumption to drop further TBH. The oil going through the intake has minimal affect on the running of the engine.

That forge pipe looks lie a good bit of kit! Especially the one without the DV hose connection.

DV relocation is going to be one of my next mods I think

Looking at the forge website is bad for my bank balance!

Have a look on VAG Specialists > PSI Tuning - VW Specialists Ade the guy running the site is a good lad and I know Andy Walker from years back. Mention you know me and you'll get looked after.

Also, are you looking for wheels?

It's not all about offset, width influences the look too. You are welcome to fit them and have a rip around the block first. Need to get some conical seated bolts though.

Are you not using them? I will probably take you up on that sometime...

By my clacs the lip will only sit 10mm further out than the standard wheel, will still be a long long way inside the guard

I think they look alright, you could always space them out abit for extra stance?

Small update. Mods have taken a back seat for a little while to get some new Wakeboarding and Kiteboarding gear coming into summer.

But i got some retro fit Aero wipers

Then I had another exhaust leak. Pulled everything apart to tighten the turbo bolts up and found this. One bolt missing in action!

Turns out the bolts arent the correct ones, probably installed when the new bottom end was put in last year. Im assuming they arent the correct rating and have stretched due to heat. They had no marking on them to know what they are. I then got a price off my mate at Audi and 3 bolts, 3 washers and a gasket is $130, and a 4 week wait!

Visit local bolt shop and got 10.9/s rated bolts and Nordlock washer for $2. Also used some High temp locktight so hopefully never come undone again!

Had to pull half the engine bay out to get the new bolts in

and now my after run electric water pump has stopped working!
