    Yeti options

Hey guys, I'm hopping someone can help me understand the options on a 103Tdi DSG Yeti.

I would like, in order, Off Road Tech, Bi-Xenon head lights, Park Assist and Sound System.

Trouble is Trivett Skoda tell me there are no Yetis with Off Road Tech in Australia but all the pics on Carsales and their own website show the button on the centre console. Carsales also list Hill decent as standard feature. I'm wondering if all the DSG + diesels come with Off Road Tech as standard?

Car sales also lists cornering headlights as Standard on this model?

    Can someone shed some light?

    Thanks in advance

    Happy Days.

    What's the official brochure say?

The Yeti 4x4, backed by the latest generation Haldex clutch as well as an optional off-road mode, can easily negotiate diffi cult terrain. The off-road mode has a number of functions such
as the Hill Descent Assistant or Start-up Assistant, the adaptation of the ABS, ASR and EDS
electronic systems to the driving conditions, and a more sensitive accelerator confi guration

I'm finding the official brochure is pretty rubbish too. For example, Fog Lights are an option on the 77tsi, every 77tsi sold in Australia has fog lights. If Skoda Australia only order 77tsi Yetis with fog lights it's not really an option here in Australia, they all have them. The same goes with the Off-road Mode on the 103Tdi + DSG. I haven't found one with out it but the brochure says it's and option and the dealer says none in Australia have it fitted? WTF?

Out of interest. I have wanted a Yeti since before they landed here in Australia. I drove the Tiguan and didn't like it. I was at the Dealer here in Canberra waiting for there first demo to have the pre-delivery checks so I could test drive it. My Finance fell through then but I ready to go now. Anyway the original Brochure had the Off-road mode standard and then it was changed to an option about 2 months after the Australian release. It's like they make it an option and then the dealer can tell you what a good deal he is giving you by giving it to you free. Again WTF?

Maybe the brochure is rubbish, Maybe the sales guy is a tosser or this is marketing. Like when you go to the supermarket and more than half the products are on special. If that's the case the minority is just over priced and they want you to think you are getting a good deal but your not, it's the normal price.

No they don't... The 77TSI's may have foglamps but they aren't activated. They can't just have a black hole without foglamps on the Yeti because it would be very obvious, unlike the Octavia 90TSI/77TDI, and look rather poor (like the lack of chrome door handles on the 77TSI interior).

Parents': Candy White 2008 Skoda Octavia RS 2.0TFSI 6M Liftback

Every 77tsi I saw at 2 dealers today had everything in place, reflector, bulb etc.

Anyway further on the "Off Road Tech". It was standard in 2011. Every 103tdi with a 2011 build in Australia should have the "Off Road" button.

Unless its a special order, no 2012 build Yetis have "Off Road Tech".

That's what the dealer found out from Skoda and it would explain why the brochure was changed.

I'm a bit surprised that no sales person I have spoken to didn't already know that. Off Road Tech must not be very popular.

    Happy Days.

So now I currently have 2 options (this can change regularly).

Both are 2011 build so they have Off Road Tech.

One also has sat nav. It's been offered to me at $34000 but I think I can talk him down a little.

The other has Off Road Tech, Bi-Xenons, Park Assist. All of which I want but it also has sat nav, sun roof and leather. None of which I care much for. I waiting on Trivett to get back to me with a price but I'm expecting it to be too much with all those options. I think it would be silly to pay thousands more for that many extra options when I only want a couple.

I'll just have to wait and see what they come back with.

It's a shame Skoda didn't keep more options in stock weather here or CZ.

I bought my WRX in 2005. Optioned it up and i drive it out if the dealer 6 weeks later.

Trivett told me today if I wanted to order a vehicle with the options I want they couldn't do much better than RRP and it wouldn't arrive until January.

It hard to finance something for 5 months time. I can get it approved now but then I would have to re-apply when it arrives.

    Happy Days

I hate to say it but sat nav, leather and sunroof would be far more popular as options than HIDS and Park Assist.

What factory optional equipment did the WRX have?
