Yeti 112TSI First Impressions

Just got a 112TSI 4X4 Yeti as a loan car today while my Octy is in servicing, thought I'd share my thoughts from the drive in to work:



- 6 speed DSG is so butter smooth, really highlights the deficiencies (small niggling things that I had gotten used to) in the DSG7 in my 90tsi Octavia. Feels even smoother than my brother's DSG6 in his Golf GTI MkV, although I guess you'd expect that. Interesting that they don't have the DSG6 in the 118TSI Octavia.
- Feels heavier than my Octavia. Not sure if this is factually the case.
- As a father of 2 lil ones, the boot space just does not cut it for (young) family use.
- Tuning potential! This would definitely make a fun second car. If I had the funds It would be a contender for sure.
- I like the odd styling, I think it just needs to be lower, like so:

Yeti 112tsi 1580kg v Octavia 90tsi 1410kg/1425kg hatch/wagon.

I think the styling works better in a darker color - but love the height/wheels on that VMR link!

It's ok, I'm pretty sure I saw you driving past Epping Boys High School on Epping Road, unless that was another white Yeti with a black roof .

Indeed I did drive that way, both to and from work that day. I haven't seen any other yetis at or around MQ, or many Skodas for that matter - only one other octy (90tsi wagon satin grey) and one superb (cappucino beige wagon).
