When I was looking at the question of getting another Yeti, there was some suggestion the new model diesel might be a 125kW TDI. Hard to know really, since there are so many models OS that we don't get. I figured that with the hotted up diesel SUV competition in the market, VWA would seriously consider up-speccing the motor.

Personally, I always figure the first penned model is as close as will ever be to what the original designer wanted. Every facelift looks more and more like design by committee.

There certainly look to be a lot more Yetis on the street now. I am surprised the new Yeti hasn't come out sooner. Expecting to see a big price slug after the dropping dollar.

Very interesting to hear this.............must be down to the dealer. My Yeti was immaculate on delivery.

Maybe the Vic dealers do it best

    Cheers

Can VW 'deny' Skoda a 125kw version to control their competitor, I wonder?.

Thanks. I'm guessing early 2012 build which also means yours has been hanging about for a couple of years like ours.
Either it was stored somewhere clean or they did a real good job detailing or you haven't looked deep into the nooks and crannies.
Mine looked the part until I peered down in the engine bay and crawled underneath. The cars are clearly coated with sticky stuff to stop corrosion and over time dust builds up into crud.

Still, the first time you take it on an unsealed road it gets crap in all those places anyway, so it's not the end of the world but to a clean freak[me] it was a frustrating start.

Mine is a May 12 compliance ? Unfortunately when it comes to a clean car i am a tad bit anal. After giving it a proper wash at home, I was surprised by the number of scratches on the car, have done my best to polish them out although the front bumper will be going back for a respray. The amount of grime in all of the nooks and crannies took a lot of time and plenty of cleaning prior to applying a good coat of CQuartz DLUX and Zaino to seal the car.

Well I won't be getting a white one as it seems the last one is in Perth and dealers so far have wanted to keep them, so I'm getting silver, (no cost) and they had at least 2 in stock.
    I pick it up tomorrow.
I think I will probably be THE Rye Yeti owner.
I didn't think I had seen a Yeti on the road, but the last couple of days in Melbourne I've seen 3, strange how you suddenly notice a particular car when you become interested in one.

On Carsales.com there's a white 103TDI DSG in NSW and Queensland.
    Both $30,990 drive away.
