As you said, it's hard to work out why here aren't a lot more around
I put it down to short sightedness -
meaning that strange look you get as they screw their nose up
when they either see you in it or when you say that you have one
"You've got a what ?" or "What on earth is THAT !!"
Sad part is it is THEY who are missing out - is yours the DSG ?

We have had ours since September last year and in that time have seen
    2 parked
1 in a shopping center carpark
and then about 2 months back passed 2 on the same day !!
One was red with a black roof - now that is THE colour combination !!!
    Ours is Lava Blue

IMHO the lights are probably the weak point but you have that covered with the xenons
I'll have to get better bulbs, but then I don't do much night driving anyway
You can try the Osram Night Breakers in the headlights, I've fitted them to Tiguan and they're much better than the std H7 globes the car came with.

I almost bought one. But it has no boot space at all. So failed the family car test. Bought a Jetta.
I had a jetta previously and the boot is crazy big but with the yeti's removable 2nd row seats, I was happy with that. also hardly ever fill up the boot anyways.

Yup. Had it just over a year & 3 months. Absolutely love it. Awesome, awesome car that still surprises me with it's overall ride quality.

Would LOVE to put a set of Matterhorns on it, and get the rear-view mirrors coated black. Matterhorns are stupid expensive to buy from Skoda, but I'm hoping to either set up a swap with another Yeti owner on here, or perhaps try and organise a swap with a dealer who has one on a showroom car - which will only work in both cases if they don't like the Matterhorns and want Spitzbergs.

Backup plan is to get a set of R-Type VW wheels painted black, which I don't think would look that bad either, to be honest. Some might disagree though...

    Hey Boon - twins LOL
    We had our windows tinted

    Before

    After

They look darker here than they are due to the extreme sunshine as opposed to the overcast day in the "before" photo

Just wondering which diesel u using for the 103tdi? Have tried a tank of shell and got about 700+ kms from a tank and have just refilled with bp ultimate. Did ya remove ur radio antenna or is it just missing in the second pic?

Hey Boon - you got keen eyes
No I didn't remove the aerial and it sure isn't there in the photo - so I just went downstairs to check - it's there - Phewwww
Here's another photo taken at the same time

So it is some form of optical illusion in the this photo - sure seems to be missing

Now, on the fuel - I usually use Caltex (with a Woolies shopper docket)
From about the third tank I get 900+ range after filling

    What gearbox yours got ?
