It's my understanding the lowering springs / shocks to suit the Tiguan will suit the Yeti.
I'm thinking of doing it too, given the reality I offroad like - never, might as well make it a road burner.

Yes I have lowered mine.Used golf r springs I bought second hand. Nice and stiff around corners especially with a thicker rear sway bar from a golf gti.

Because mine is a 2wd 77tsi, and I wanted it to handle more to my tastes for the majority of my driving.

Cool great tip, looks perfect to me!
Just be aware the GTI / R rear sway will only suit the 2WD models, you need a 4x4 Tig etc version for the 4x4 to get around the rear haldex diff. I've my sights set on a Whiteline one for a Tig.

Go the Superpro. The way the whiteline is secured (locking collars around the swaybar mounts) leaves something to be desired. The mounts will come loose and the bar will slide; and start clunking. Awful design!

some some coilovers and set whatever height you like!
pretty much anything to suit a PQ35 chassis will fit. just be careful if you need 50mm or 55mm front struts
